Srdjan Šaper: professional career
Srdjan before entering the world of marketing was successful musician, actor, TV commercials producer and director. During his 30 years long career in the marketing and communications field and prior to establishing McCann agencies, first in Belgrade and Skopje in 1997, Srdjan Saper worked as Creative Director, TV Producer and Director for the SM Delo, Borba, Idols & Friends, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi agencies. With his several decades’ long experience he contributed to numerous campaigns for local and regional brands and development of marketing community and Srdjan Šaper has become one of the leading professional in the field of marketing and communications, and also one of the most prominent public figures and active contributors in the world of business in our region.

Srđan Šaper held a graduate teaching position at the University of Art in Belgrade and he is often invited to lecture as keynote speaker at various international conferences on marketing and communications. In recent years, he served on the boards of various business and public institutions. Srdjan Saper is also known by supporting numerous humanitarian projects.
McCann Tirana is the first Albanian agency that won an award at the Golden Drum festival, winning the Silver Drum in the Events category for the "Respect the living, too" campaign, created to raise awareness on road safety and implemented for the Albanian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
At the most prestigious advertising festival, Cannes Lions, agencies operating within I&F McCann Grupa received a Gold Lion (McCann Skopje in 2009) and a Bronze Lion (McCann Beograd in 2011).
At the Festival of Integrated Communications Kaktus, McCann Beograd was named Agency of the Year in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Agency UM Beograd won the Golden Prize for the "Fanta & Yasserstain" campaign in the "Best Social Networking Campaign" campaign at the 18th "SEMPL" Media Trends Festival.
McCann Zagreb won the most prestigious award - the X award for the agency of the year 2017 at the most important national advertising festival in Croatia, the Communication Days (Dani komunikacija).
At the first Effie Awards ceremony held in Serbia, the world's most prestigious award which recognizes and rewards effectiveness in marketing, the highest number of awards was won by McCann Beograd and UM Beograd, making this group of agencies the most effective in Serbia.
In 2018, within Effie Serbia, McCann Beograd won two bronze medals, while at Effie Croatia UM Zagreb won the Grand Prix, 2 gold and one silver with the client Zagrebačka pivovara.
